'Safe Travels': Global Safety Stamp to Recognise Safe Travels for the New Normal

This specially developed standardized stamp will allow travellers to recognise governments and companies around the world which have implemented health and hygiene global standardised protocols – so consumers can experience ‘Safe Travels’.

World Travel and Tourism Council and their affiliated Members such as governments, health experts and other industry associations have implemented a new norm “Safe Travels” stamp and eligible companies such as Hotels, Restaurants, Airlines, Tour Operators, Cruise Lines, Airports & Transportation, Outdoor Shopping, Attractions, Short Term Rentals, Car Rentals,  will be able to use the stamp once the health and hygiene protocols, outlined by WTTC, have been applied as a new normal operating process.

The step is initiated to achieve effective recovery in global tourism and service sector by screening the entities according to the protocols developed for meaningful action plans that optimise sector-wide recovery efforts. The protocols round up all the operator in this sector under common standards to ensure the safety of its workforce and travellers as the industry shifts to a new normal.

WTTC has said, “Part of our protocols include providing the public & private sectors with the insights & toolkits for interaction & implementation to ensure that people are and feel safe however WTTC, our members and the sector cannot guarantee 100% safety. It is paramount to have common rules. Ultimately, we envision a future of travel which is safe, secure, seamless and provides an authentic and meaningful experience to the traveller across the journey; one which supports the livelihoods of millions and contributes to sustainable economic growth.” 

Please be advised the protocols take into account current WHO and CDC guidelines, but they are subject to change and as new information becomes available about COVID-19.
